3.7 Linux install fail 4 years 8 months ago #6820

3.7 installed OK. However, running it yields error message "Make sure home/...../.thinkingrock/tr-3.7 is writable.

How do I proceed from here?

I'm making progress, but thinking rock still not functional.
I can start a new file.
I can't open a file created and shared by several windows machines.
A screen shot of the error message is attached.

That problem is solved. I changed the permissions on some folders that the installer created owned by root.

Next problem. Same installation. Thinking Rock on the Ubuntu machine appears to work with the minimal testing I've done. I've created tasks.

The files created on Ubuntu work on Windows. However, anything touched by Windows, yields this when I try to view actions:
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: javax.activation.DataContentHandlerFactory
	at java.base/jdk.internal.loader.BuiltinClassLoader.loadClass(BuiltinClassLoader.java:583)

....

	at java.desktop/java.awt.EventDispatchThread.pumpEvents(EventDispatchThread.java:101)
	at java.desktop/java.awt.EventDispatchThread.run(EventDispatchThread.java:90)

This generated an error code for too many links so the complete report is attached.
