TOPIC: Critical Chain - auto-sequencing

This suggestion may be because I'm not driving auto-sequencing properly, but I can't get it to function as I expect.
The feature I'd like is that espoused by Critical Chain. I could set out a list of actions for a project and when I complete the first action the following action would appear in the "next action" list.
This is what the auto-sequence seems to be intended to do but seems to be hamstrung by the date; whereas Critical Chain everything is "do as soon as possible".

I'm not sure I'm explaining this well, it just seems too obvious to me.
