What's new in TR 2.0 Delta release

The Release Notes detail the functionality added and modified in this delta release since v1.2.3. These notes are quite succinct but you will find more information in the help provided within the application.

What is a delta release?
A beta version or beta release definition implies that it is likely to be unstable so we used the term Gamma when we released our first version for 2.0 in Mid-April.
This delta version fixes the main errors and addresses some of the feedback we received from the gamma version. It is stable and can be used (as long as you do regular backup).

We have done extensive testing but MAKE A BACKUP of your current data file (function Save To under the File menu) and create a test data file. We recommend that you feel confident yourself before using your data file with this release. Please also note that once a data file has been open with v2.0, you cannot open the file with v1.2.3 anymore.

Please note that the reports have not been changed to take into account the new fields yet.

If you are upgrading from v1.2.3, all user settings need to be re-entered.

Major changes since TR 1.2.3

The whole application has been moved to the NetBeans platform. So the look has improved. The application now consists of plug-in modules, which are packaged together for this release. This will allow us to release individual modules in the future allowing the users to choose the modules he or she wants.

Major changes since TR 2.0 Gamma

  • The permanent views on the Review Projects and Review Actions have been re-instated;
  • All Java errors have been fixed;
  • Notes conversion problems should be fixed;
  • New Collect Thoughts screen, including a new window Add Thought which can be called anywhere within the ThinkingRock application to enter a new Thought;
  • Added our electronic interpretation of the tickle functionality.
